Parental rights bill SB 582 will be heard by the Senate Rules committee on Tuesday April 6th. Bill SB 582 – Parental Rights is a bill codifying and protecting certain fundamental rights of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their minor children. The House counterpart to this bill passed the full House vote on April 1. We need to get the Senate version of the bill (SB 582) pushed through the Senate Rules committee, where it’s on the agenda for Tuesday April 6th.
